The bedrooms of Highclere Castle are a familiar sight to lovers of Downton Abbey. Elegant and luxurious, these rooms epitomize both exceptional design and comfort, while also reflecting the rich history of the estate. Redesigning the 61 bedrooms has been a passion project for Lady Carnarvon, who has been dedicated to modernizing the castle without compromising its grandeur and heritage. One of her biggest challenges was replacing the mattresses, most of which were 150 years old and desperately needed an upgrade.

Born out of collaboration with Lord and Lady Carnarvon and inspiration from both the interior and exterior of the castle, Highclere Collection is a true reflection of the estate’s design and comfort. Today, Highclere mattresses produced locally in Maryland by AW Industries adorn the guest bedrooms of the Highclere castle.

With elegant aesthetics, New Zealand Tokowool, Aurora™ Foam, gel memory foam, and inherently flame retardant (FR) materials (without chemical treatments), Highclere mattresses are the elegant comfort you can now bring into your own home at an affordable price.
